On the occasion
of Raksha Bandhan, rakhis and greeting cards were
sent by the female beneficiaries to all donors
and wellwishers.

Ganesh Utsav was celebrated
for five days from 31/8/03 by beneficiaries, stall
holders, patients, staff and members of Paraplegic
Foundation with great devotion and enthusiasm.
Besides the daily arti, there were song, dance
and games sessions in which everyone participated
enthusiastically.

Sarvapitru Amavasaya in memory
of all those departed souls associated with the
Foundation, was observed on 25/9/03 with prayers.

The Festival of lights, Diwali,
was celebrated at the Foundation on 23/10/03.
It included the lighting of the lamp by a patient
of the Health Harmony Project and a delicious
lunch. Besides the usual ex – gratia payments,
cash gifts were given to the beneficiaries and
staff. In addition, Shraddha Foundation distributed
sweet boxes and clothes to the beneficiaries,
patients and staff.

Everyone at the Foundation
celebrated Ramzan Eid with a sumptuous lunch on
26/1/03.

The usual Haldi – Kumkum
celebration was organized by the female beneficiaries
on 28/1/04. It included an enjoyable games &
dance session and exchanges of “Tilgul”between
all the participants as a token of goodwill.

The Foundation held a Condolence
Meeting on 14th Feburary for the sudden and sad
demise on 5th Feb 04 of Mr.W.K.Mangaokar, our
Trustee, and Life Member. Besides the other trustees,
office – bearers, committee members, staff,
beneficiaries and patients of the Foundation,
three close family members of late Mr.Mangaokar
also attended the meeting.

The Shri Sadguru Aniruddha
Upasana Trust volunteers conduct weekly spiritual
sessions. These are held for the beneficiaries
on Monday mornings and for the HHEP patients on
Wednesday afternoons.

On 30/3/04 on the occasion
of Ram Navmi, the above mentioned Trust’s
volunteers arranged to take 12 patients, 5 beneficiaries
and some relatives for the weekly prayer meeting
held in Bandra East.

The Anaam Prem Organisation
organized a Get – together for the disabled
from various NGO’s on the grounds of the
Mayor’s Bungalow on 25th December 2003 evening.
An entertainment programme of Rabindra Sangeet
was followed by dinner. The founder member of
the Trust, Mr Justice Subhash Chandra Desai (Retd),
affectionately known by all as Dadaji, introduced
the participants to the Mayor, Shri Mahadev Devle.
The programme was attended by six beneficiaries
of the Foundation as well as the Trustees &
some staff members |
